In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the pinch pot technique, one of the oldest and most intuitive methods of hand-building in clay. Using just their hands and a lump of clay, students can shape their piece into anything from a festive pumpkin or an ornament to a trinket dish, votive holder, or a classic pinch pot — the possibilities are up to their imagination. No prior experience is necessary; just bring your curiosity and get ready to get your hands in the clay.
Please note: This 3-hour workshop is split across two required sessions. To complete your project, you must attend both assigned dates. Due to limited studio space, swapping or mixing sessions is not permitted.
**This workshop will take place at the Sarasota Art Museum campus and will be held on both Tuesday, 11/3 AND Thursday, 11/5.**
